I get blown with questions about the Viliv X70EX UMPC arrived yesterday, so I felt that I had better offer up to a few additional impressions after using for a day. I took a few more pictures to show the size a little better hand and a super-short video that shows the rotation of the screen. I’m already good use of the X 70 – use even better than the smaller S5.

I find the 70 X very pleasant to use with an external keyboard and mouse mode “Office”. I get all the benefits of the size of the little 7-inch EEE PC while retaining the utility of a keyboard full size when necessary. I used it this way today almost all day and did not feel that I have lost any functionality at all. The screen is the size perfect for 1024 × 600 resolution, and I can easily see everything with the UMPC sitting on the table from me.
I do a lot of web browsing and have adopted a method that works well for me. I rotate the screen orientation portrait using the Intel graphics utility. It has hot-keys configured for rotation (CTRL-ALT-arrows) and can turn in all four directions. 70 X is comfortable to hold in the hand in this way, even for long periods and navigation on the web using Firefox with the grab and Add – on drag is a joy.
The touch screen is not as soft to the touch than the S5, but always works well. I find the more large screen makes the interface operation by finger much easier on the S5 and I reach for the pen often at all. UBoard keyboard works nicely on the big screen. I can use it as a plank of inch easily in orientation. This is how I rotate the screen back and forth as well.
1.3 MP webcam does decent with Skype, even if it is the only thing I’ve done so far with it. It is a stretch to keep moving the 70 X up to that field of view camera is in the right place, because it is at the far right of the device. The sound quality is good enough for this. I love listening to music through the stereo speakers; the volume is loud enough, and it is quite nice for a small device. Listening with headphones is very beautiful and the included audio utility makes it easy to adjust the sound to play music.
Read e-books with eReader Pro in portrait is awesome. Can I display a very complete page and read the content of my heart and turn the page, either by tapping on the lower part of the screen or even with the D – pad controller. I appreciate so much that when I return to the iPhone I am not love this device as I have done before.
70 X speed is very fast, as I would expect of the SSD. Open programs and files is almost instantaneous and it is a great computer on which to do serious work even. Restart the system is fast (I’ve not timed it) and sleep/resume is just a few seconds. It is a very complete calculation with the keyboard and mouse environment, reflected in the drafting of the present now. I do not feel I am no sacrifice – the mark of a very good device.
70 X integrated 3 G, but I have not tested that yet. I have the AT & T SIM in my iPhone and a T-Mobile SIM, but I can’t use one or other of the test. Using the iPhone SIM would violate my TOS and could obtain my cancelled account. The same applies to the T-Mobile, but I won’t Cancel anyway so I don’t care of really. The problem is that U.S. T-Mobile 3 G is not compatible with the bands of 3 G in the rest of the world even if I can get it to work, it will be only EDGE. I’ll have to think a little, and if someone has thoughts, please share their.
You will not find a virtual keyboard with this puppy instead, you will need to rely on virtual haptic keyboard technology. The Viliv X70EX Express P, X70EX Premium P and Premium X70EX 3GP will be retail for $600, $730 and $880, respectively.
I will continue to use and to report on how that happens. I took some photos, as mentioned, it is a glance. You can compare the thickness for the S5. 70 X is still thinner than and thus feels well in hand. Take a look at the video, I quickly hit with my camera. I could not edit, sorry if the seconds in the Middle as AVG has decided to update the AV definitions after I started filming.
